Awards & Prize

  • Gold: 1 winner, NT$200,000, a certificate

  • Silver: 1 winner, NT$100,000, a certificate

  • Bronze: 1 winner, NT$ 80,000 a certificate

  • Merit Award: 2 winners, NT$50,000, a certificate

  • Honorable Mention: 5 winners, a prize of NT$10,000, a certificate

  • Judges’ Award: 15 winners, a certificate

  • Viewers Choice: 1 winner, NT$10,000, a certificate

 

Promotion and Marketing 

  1. The organizer will hold a public award ceremony.

  2. The organizer will select the feature works and introduce them to the exhibition in domestic or abroad.

  3. If possible, the organizer will hold forums after the contest and establish a tight platform between the winners and production industry to counsel production operations.

Qualification

 

  1. People who are interested in design are welcome to enroll. There is no restriction of age, occupation, place of residence, and nationality.

  2. Applicants can be individual or group, except to the extent that the team members can not be more than 3 people.

Evaluation Criteria​

 

30% Creativity｜Contemporary, original design, stylish, and integrity.

30% Relevant to Theme｜Present Yilan figurative or abstract elements

20% Marketability｜Commercialization, mass production, development costs, and market acceptance

20% Functional｜Usability and safety

Jury Composition

 

  1. Juries for pre-judging and final judgment include experts from related design industry, academia and government. The name list will be announced further.

  2. If the work did not reach the baseline of competition, the jury has the right to leave the prize vacant. Participants should respect the jury resolution and no objection.

Notes for Participants

​

  1. The copyright of each completed work belongs to the participant/team. Team members need to clarify their relationship and the right of transaction, authorizing and delegation by themselves. The responsibility should be agreed by contract in advance. The organizer shall not get involved.

  2. Once a work wins a prize, the copyright of its images and text belong to the organizer. Participants need to sign the "Affidavit" to allow the organizer having the right to use it for collections, marketing, publishing, reproduce, copy, public or online display and all other related acts with no limit of time, quantity and methods.

  3. The copyright of every winning work belongs to the creator. Participants need to authorize the right of permanent use, matchmaking, priority of product development and selling. If the works do become an official product, the organizer will sign a formal contract about profits distribution with the participants.

 

Terms & Conditions​

 

Organizer

  1. The organizer has the right to adjust the timeline of competition according to the needs.

  2. The organizer has the right to revise this brochure. To see the latest adjustment and announcement, please visit official website. The organizer will not give an additional notify.

 

Participating works of the participants

  1. The submission of documents and work should be complete in time. The organizer has the right not to accept those incomplete or irregular applications and will not return.

  2. All the information participates in preliminary selection will be treated and safe keeping as confidentiality. The organizer will not return the documents so please make a copy by your own.

  3. Once the organizer receives the registration information, the staffs will make a notification for the participants by email before 18:00 on that day. If you have any question please contact the organizer.

  4. The participative entries must be original design and have not been published and sold. Counterfeiting and copyright infringement are not allowed. If any of works been found against those rules above, the organizer has the right to call the original jury to make appropriate handling. When necessary, the organizer will disqualify the participants, recover the award, prize and merit and make a public announcement. (The participants should be responsible for their own if there is any legal responsibility of copyright infringement as mentioned.)

 

Participants

  1. Please read related information before your registration. Make sure you understand and are willing to follow the regulations of the competition.

  2. To protect your copyright, we suggest every participant in final judging to make an application of copyright/patent before model submission. The organizer is not responsible for the possible counterfeiting during competition and exhibition.

  3. Any act of interfering the judging, inducements or threaten for example, is not allowed.

 

Winners

  1. All the models of Gold, Silver and Bronze belong to the organizer and will not be returned. The organizer will also keep one model as collection of each Merit Award, Honorable Mention and Judges’ Award team. The details of returning will be announced before the end of the year.

  2. The name of the registrant will be the representative of the team. The organizer will give the prize and one merit to the representative. The team should make an arrangement for the prize distribution by themselves and pay the tax according to the law.

  3. The images of entries in final judging, the work description, photos and models will be used in exhibition, propaganda and publishing. Participants should give the authorization to the organizer and cooperate with the organizer during relative advertising and marketing events.
